Diablo Sound Designers Receive 4th Nomination for WICKED LIT with LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards11/21/2017
LOS ANGELES – Drew Dalzell and Noelle Hoffman of Diablo Sound have received their 4th Ovation Awards nomination for the 4th consecutive year in the category of Sound Design (Large Theatre) for Wicked Lit. Their notable work on Unbound Productions’ most popular show – currently in its 9th year – has earned Dalzell and Hoffman 2 wins in 2014 and 2015 with LA STAGE Alliance’s peer-judged award show. Similar to the Tony Awards in New York, the Ovation Awards were created to recognize excellence in theatrical performance, production, and design in the Greater Los Angeles area. “Diablo Sound has been the design team behind Wicked Lit since 2012,” says Paul Millet, Artistic Director of Unbound Productions. “They support our productions with talent, commitment, and unparalleled sound design. Our most recent production at the Mountain View Mausoleum & Cemetery covered roughly 3 acres, and Diablo Sound unified the design and execution across the entire property. They’re simply amazing.” Diablo Sound creates sound design and show control for many large theme parks and major installations, such as Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights and Citywalk Five Towers in Los Angeles, and Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., currently exhibiting in over 8 countries.
